First step on the moon
A space shuttle landed on the moon, on July 20, 1969. It was Apollo 11. There were three astronauts in it. They were Neil Armstrong, Edwin Eugene “Buzz” Aldrin, Jr. and Michael Collins. Neil Armstrong left the space shuttle first and stepped on the moon. So, he became the first human to step on the moon. He and Aldrin walked on the moon for a while. They had difficulty in walking because the gravity was less than the Earth. They picked some stones from the surface of the moon. Collins stayed in the shuttle and took photos. They all came back to Earth on July 20, 1969. It was a huge step for humanity.
